The highly-anticipated Alan Wake 2 is just around the corner, originally scheduled for release on October 17th, but developer Remedy Entertainment delayed it to the 27th of October earlier this year. With less than a week to go, the studio has now revealed the PC specifications needed to run Alan Wake 2, and it appears you’ll need a powerful system to play it.

As you can see, even the minimum system requirements call for a somewhat powerful GPU like the GeForce RTX 2060, and these specs will only provide you with a 1080p/30FPS experience in the game. For a 4K/60 FPS experience and ray tracing, you’ll need one of the most powerful GPUs on the market. Notably, regardless of where your computer falls in the spec rankings, Alan Wake 2 requires an SSD for storage.

On the console front, both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will offer a 4K mode at 30FPS and a Performance mode that boosts the game to 60FPS. However, the Performance mode won’t be available on the Xbox Series S.
